Škrlet in Sarajevo

Sarajevo Wine Fest was held on February 8 and 9, 2017 at the Holiday Hotel in Sarajevo. There were 70 exhibitors, producers of wine and food products from BiH, Croatia, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Hungary and Italy.

Association Bregovita Hrvatska was one of the exhibitors at the festival, and participation was organized with the support of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce. The representatives of the Association were winemakers: Boris Drenški, Voštinić-Klasnić, Seletković, Romić, Ptičar, Florijanović, Žabić, Ivanić, Kosovec i Glavica.

As part of the festival, numerous workshops were held, one of which was "Škrlet - autochthonous variety of continental Croatia". The workshop was moderated by Nikica Katić, winemaker from the "Klet Romić" winery. Nikica Katić started the workshop by presenting Moslavina as a wine and tourist region, and explained the composition of the soil, climate and locations as important factors for the production of skarlet.

Škrlets were tasted in all styles, from sparkling wines, young wines, organic production to macerated ones.

The events in Sarajevo were also attended by Josip Pavić, State Secretary in the Ministry of Tourism and Sports of Croatia, Croatian Ambassador in Sarajevo, His Excellency Ivan Sabolić, Vanda Babić Galić, Advisor to the Minister of Foreign and European Affairs and Nikica Pažin, Minister Advisor in the Office of the Croatian Chamber of Commerce at the Embassy Republic of Croatia in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
