Salon of Sparkling Wines

"Sparkling Wine Salon" was presented in Zagreb at the Dubrovnik Hotel with 45 Croatian, Slovenian and Italian sparkling wine producers and the champagne of French winery Sylvie Moreau.

From Croatia, along with famous Plešivica names such as Šember, Kurtalj, Jagunić, Kolarić and Barundić (Krašić), sparkling wines were introduced by the Istrian wineries Monte Rosso, Cattunar, Kabola and Peršurić. Šimanović (from Krašić near Kostel Pribićki, sparkling wine from Pinot Noir and Brute nature Blanc de blancs from Chardonnay), Davor Zdjelarević with a line of sparkling wines Grof, Feravino (Grasseco and Francesca), Kutjevo (Maximo Brut) and Josipović winery from Slavonia. There were also the Vuglec breg and Petrač wineries, the Dalmatian winery Bačić (sparkling wine made of cetinka variety), Slamić wines, Ivan Katunar wine house from Krk, Anton Katunar also from Krk and others. Some of the Slovenian exhibitors included Koper wines, Albiana wines, Kauran wines, Joannes wines, Radgonske gorice wines, Istenič wines and Vipava 1894 winery.

Champagne Salon was held in Ljubljana on February 15, 2020 and the rating for both salons was held earlier. In the category of pink sparkling wines the winner is Petrach's Bregh rosé, brut, 2017.
