On Saturday, May 3, Vižinada once again showed what an event that combines passion for wine, love for local flavours and sincere enjoyment of nature looks like, creating an experience in which every step turns into an encounter with the authentic Istrian identity – through vineyards, scents, flavours and warm smiles of the hosts who make this wine walk unique.

At the fourth edition of the Viva Vino event, more than 300 visitors from Croatia, Slovenia, Italy, Germany, Austria, and the United Kingdom walked along picturesque paths through the Vižinada landscape, enjoying an unforgettable experience of tasting wines from local winemakers. Each stop offered a new story and a new pleasure – from fresh, mineral Malvazija to elegant Teran, there was also a Teranino spritz by Rossi cocktail, as well as a coffee truck. Along with the wines, visitors savored carefully prepared snacks, designed with great care and creativity by local caterers. Each plate was a unique combination of tradition and modern interpretations of local ingredients.

The experience was further enriched by live musicians playing at each stop, bringing joy and emotion to every step of the wine route. A special moment was the performance by Istra Inspirit, who brought a touch of theater to the vineyards with a humorous sketch, causing laughter and delight among visitors. Winemakers Sosich, Bruno Ferenac, Deklić, Franc Arman, Pilato, Giulio Ferenac, Arman Marijan, Geržinić, Rossi, Pino Rossi, and Vorić left a strong impression on every participant with their hospitality and wines.

Aunt Laura's fragrant pandešpanj greeted visitors at the first stop, a sumptuous Istrian plate with homemade prosciutto, pancetta, and ombolo arrived from Agroturizm Selo Mekiši, followed by plates of homemade IRENKA pasta with asparagus. The Jadruhi Tavern warmed the palates of visitors with traditional Istrian maneštra, while at the same time serving freshly baked focaccia at the next stop. Gourmet Style delighted with veal in Teran sauce. Finally, plates of traditional Istrian cakes – crispy, full of flavour, rounded off the eno-gastro experience that nourished the palate and the soul equally. Until the very end of the event, the atmosphere did not let up – everything was permeated with good mood and enjoyment.

The organizers, the Tourist Board of the Municipality of Vižinada in cooperation with the Municipality of Vižinada, the Italian Union from Rijeka and the Italian Community of Vižinada, are proud to point out that this year's edition exceeded expectations, not only in the number of visitors, but also in the positive energy that everyone shared together.
