Valentine's Day in Esplanade

For Valentine’s Day, Esplanade Zagreb Hotel presents a special offer that brings together refined experiences and tender romantic moments.

On Saturday, 14 February 2026, in the red-lit ambience of Zinfandel’s Restaurant, guests are invited to enjoy a five-course gala dinner accompanied by a welcome glass of sparkling wine, the soft glow of candlelight and romantic piano music. For the occasion, Esplanade’s Chef Ana Grgić Tomić has created a selection of delicacies designed to make the celebration of love truly memorable.

The evening begins with a welcome glass of sparkling wine and a selection of house-made bread with citrus butter, followed by dishes such as Oscietra caviar with cauliflower panna cotta and a buckwheat waffle with saffron aioli, scallops with shellfish bisque and yoghurt-and-lime snow, porcini gnudi with truffles and hazelnut crumble, and, as the main course, confit of young lamb with black lentil crêpe, anise sauce and crispy Jerusalem artichokes.

To conclude the evening, a dessert that perfectly rounds off the experience: raspberry meringue with almond and ricotta sponge, coconut pearls and white chocolate. The price of the Valentine’s dinner, including a glass of sparkling wine, is €165 per person, and every lady will be welcomed with a rose and a gift from the renowned Croatian cosmetics brand Nikel. For those wishing to turn Valentine’s Day into a romantic weekend city break, Esplanade offers a Valentine’s package for two. The package includes one night in a Deluxe Room, where guests are welcomed with red roses, chilled sparkling wine and a heart-shaped sweet treat upon arrival. A Valentine’s dinner for two at Zinfandel’s Restaurant sets the tone for a passionate evening, followed by breakfast the next morning served either in the privacy of the room or in the elegant setting of Zinfandel’s.

The Valentine’s overnight package also includes super-fast Wi-Fi and complimentary access to the Health Club, with use of the fitness centre and sauna. The celebration can continue after dinner at the Esplanade 1925 Lounge & Cocktail Bar, featuring a special collection of Valentine’s cocktails created by Vjenceslav Madić – Master Kishoni. Highlights include a cocktail combining Cuban rum and fresh strawberries, enhanced by floral notes of bergamot and the gentle sparkle of Prosecco.

For those who prefer lower-alcohol cocktails, Vjenceslav Madić recommends Red Roses, offering a delicate floral character through an aromatic blend of rose, elderflower and light gin. Be sure to try Love Treasure, with notes of smoke, caramel and citrus fruits, which delights not only in flavour but also through its serving ritual – especially when you discover the “treasure” hidden inside its chest. Valentine’s cocktails will be available throughout the entire month of February.

Throughout February, Esplanade 1925 Lounge & Cocktail Bar also presents a Valentine’s edition of afternoon tea entitled Love Birds. Among the delicacies served are Pag cheese panna cotta with beetroot jelly and prosciutto crumble, goose liver mousse with carrot and almond sponge, smoked salmon tartare with cream and citrus, vanilla and cranberry choux, coconut truffles, milk chocolate spheres, and chocolate tart with raspberry curd and dark chocolate namelaka, to name just a few.

Afternoon tea for two is priced at €45 and is served daily from 12.30 to 18.30.
