Detox Menu in the Restaurant Kaiser

Detox - a word for the multi-layered establishment of body balance, is most often used as a decision for the process of cleansing the mind and body. In the decision 'I'm going to detox', promise yourself that you will start with a quality diet, that you will replace unhealthy foods with healthy, alcohol-free refreshing drinks, and then help your body to accelerate vital processes in your body through a quality sauna, swimming in thermal water, and increased activity. Detox has its course, each body reacts differently to the process of establishing a balance between mind and body, so more and more nutritionists are advocating detoxification before detox.

Listening to the needs of modern gastronomes to fill their meals with healthy and nutritionally valuable 'plates', restaurants often offer 'healthy plates' that are created with carefully selected ingredients without carbohydrates and sugar. Among the many offers, a restaurant that has created a special 'detox menu' for lunch or dinner has recently stood out. Restaurant Kaiser is located overlooking the Rogaška Slatina park, within the Sava Superior hotel, synonymous with five decades of health, thanks to the minerals from the water at the source of which this complex is located.

The detox menu at this place awaits you for lunch or dinner, and three courses have been created through which you will eat local food combined with unusual twist. Unlike some other restaurants, you will start your detox meal at this place with a specially created drink to start the detoxification process before the food itself. Depending on the season, the spring water combines fruits, vegetables, and selected herbs.

"Water is essential for the human body and life in general. It represents about 50–70% of body mass and is necessary for the proper functioning of all cells, tissues, and organs. Its key roles are: transporting substances in the body, regulating body temperature, maintaining cell function, supporting digestion, kidneys, helping to hydrate mucous membranes, and maintaining healthy skin. That is why our drinks that start every detox menu are a large glass of water containing lemon, cucumber, and mint at this time of year.

Lemons are an extremely versatile fruit with a rich history of culinary, medicinal, and household uses. Their benefits include: a rich source of vitamin C, antioxidants, immune system support, improved digestion, heart health, kidney stone prevention, healthy skin, body detoxification, weight loss aid, and mood enhancement. Cucumbers are a low-calorie, refreshing vegetable with many beneficial properties. They are characterized by high water content, low energy value, a rich source of vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, digestive support, skin health, blood pressure regulation, and diuretic effect. Mint provides a refreshing taste and smell and has numerous benefits: improves digestion, has anti-inflammatory and antioxidant effects, relieves headaches, improves breathing, nourishes oral health, and is used in culinary and aromatherapy" says Matijaž Kovačić, F&B manager who, together with his team, created this unique restaurant offer.

Unlike many healthy plates, the ones served at the Kaiser restaurant are healthy creations, real little masterpieces. The plates are colourful, the ingredients are local, and the flavours are so special that you regret that the food disappears from your plate so quickly. As this concept is unique in many ways, so is how a detox lunch or dinner is served. All that is expected of you is the desire and willingness to enjoy plates of high nutritional value, so there is no choice, no combination. Each meal comes in three courses - a cold or hot appetizer, a main course, and finally an interesting dessert. So for lunch, you will enjoy an excellent, warm cream soup with almond flakes, which are a real nutritional 'bomb' in this meal. They are not real nuts, but the seeds of a stone fruit full of healthy fats, vitamin E, magnesium, protein, fiber, and have a low glycemic index. For the main course, a colourful plate comes with grilled chicken medallions on a bed of Mediterranean vegetables.

Chicken is extremely popular due to its high protein content, low fat content, and rich B vitamins and minerals. When combined with root vegetables, fresh peppers, and roasted capers, the flavours are divine. In this concept, you will finish your lunch with melon cubes in lime and mint juice. The combination of the sweetness of the melon, the acidity of the lime, and the freshness of the mint creates a harmonious and invigorating taste. The advantages include refreshment, low calorie value, natural sweetness, a wealth of vitamins and minerals, and an attractive appearance.

You will eat a detox dinner like a king if you choose this restaurant. It is served until 9 pm so that the digestion has enough time to process the food. As an appetizer, a salad with quinoa, roasted zucchini, cherry tomatoes, and feta cheese is served. Quinoa is an extremely nutritious and versatile food that offers numerous health benefits: a complete source of protein, a rich source of fiber, vitamins and minerals, antioxidants, gluten-free, low glycemic index, which explains the fact that it is the star of the plate.

Vegetables are essential for health because they are rich in vitamins, minerals, and fiber, low in energy value, and high in antioxidants. Feta is a traditional Greek cheese with a Protected Designation of Origin (PDO), produced according to a traditional recipe from sheep's milk or a mixture of sheep's and goat's milk. The advantages of feta are that it is a rich source of protein, calcium, B-complex vitamins, probiotics, has lower fat content compared to other cheeses, and is more easily digestible.

The main course in this detox trio is baked salmon with lemon and herbs, steamed asparagus, and cauliflower puree. Salmon is a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, high-quality protein, vitamins, and minerals. It also contains antioxidants, supports brain health, improves mood, and contributes to the natural production of collagen and retinol. Lemon and its vitamins support the metabolism of collagen and retinol in the body.

The highlight of this menu is Chia pudding with wild berries. Why this combination? A seed originating from Mexico, chia is extremely nutritious and as such a rich source of omega-3 fatty acids, fiber, complete proteins, minerals, and antioxidants. It supports heart health, regulates blood sugar levels, and helps with weight loss and hydration of the body. When it comes to wild berries, they are small, juicy fruits that grow wild in nature, and their health value includes a high content of antioxidants, anti-inflammatory properties, support for the immune system, and improved heart and blood vessel health.
