Gifterija- a place where gifts are made with story and emotion

Giving – a little magic woven into big moments that always fill us with joy. It was precisely this mission that guided Iva Špalj, the founder of the Croatian brand Gifterija, whose goal is to fulfil everyone’s wishes – both for those seeking inspiration for what to give to the people they love and appreciate, and for the lucky ones who will find Gifterija’s solution placed directly into their hands. As we enter the season of giving, a period of intense searching for ideas and inspiration, Iva revealed this year’s Gifterija boxes at a pre-holiday event held at the Wine and Friends wine boutique in Zagreb.

Alongside classic combinations of products bearing the made in Croatia label (food, wine, cosmetics, fashion accessories), Iva has created three items that will be equally loved by both men and women in Gifterija boxes – Bee Hot chilli honey, chocolate spheres, and three fragrant roll-ons designed for professionals: to replace coffee, ease stress, and relax after a long working day.

“After 18 years working in sports recreation, I felt the need for a change and a more creative profession. Spending time with people, I realised how difficult it has become for many to find a beautiful gift for someone they care about throughout the year. And so The Gifterija was born – a gifting concept with a story,” says Iva Špalj, the owner of The Gifterija, presenting three new products which she herself developed and, in collaboration with local producers, brought from idea to final form.

In small, square boxes (resembling those used for larger pieces of jewellery), you will find exquisite chocolate spheres in three flavours, produced by Chozen according to Iva’s vision. They can be enjoyed on their own, but their true magic appears when you immerse one into boiling milk and think – I haven’t tasted better hot chocolate in a long time! The second novelty is a completely different kind of honey – Bee Hot chilli. As the name suggests, it is Croatian honey infused with a fiery chilli note, offering a surprising taste experience and serving as a perfect addition to any dish or drink. At Wine and Friends, they demonstrated how this honey pairs beautifully with cheeses as well as warm chocolate brownies.

And finally, already a hit product – a limited holiday edition of a tube box with three different essential oil blends in roll-on bottles for easy application. Aromatherapist Anamarija Pažin Morović, during the event’s Holistic Beauty workshop, demonstrated how the blends AWAKEN, PAUSE, and DREAM help bring the body back into balance during a demanding workday. Since these oils are special blends co-created by Iva and Bioeterica, their effects are enchanting, so it is no surprise that this trio has quickly become one of the most popular holiday gifts.
