Croatian winemakers, domestic and foreign chefs, as well as gastro journalists and bloggers enjoyed the creations of chef Marko Jantolek at the grand opening of the Matrix restaurant, a new destination in Zagreb for lovers of top quality food and top wines. Twenty-six-year-old Zagreb chef Marko Jantolek is responsible for the menu and selection of groceries. Dishes like blue-tailed Adriatic tuna with kimchi, beef cheeks in red wine or black Slavonian pigs paired with one of the top wines are just part of Matrix's offer.
"What we offer in The Matrix is first and foremost an experience. In the kitchen, you will find exclusively daily fresh ingredients from selected Croatian family farms and a top team of chefs who prepare them in a modern, unusual way, "said chef Jantolek.
The restaurant is run by the famous and experienced Manuela Maras, whose speciality is wines and everything related to them. That is why it is not surprising that the new Zagreb restaurant boasts a rich wine list with more than a hundred labels of the best Croatian, but also a dozen top world winemakers. "It is always a challenge to start something new and different, but guests recognize the quality and that means we are moving in the right direction. The team is young, energetic, ambitious and professional and always ready to give a real sommelier's recommendation that will complete the experience of the whole dish ", said Manuela Maras.
The whole story was started by an IT man, also an excellent communicator and the owner of several restaurants, including the famous Savica Eatery, Mario Stipanović, and an excellent communicator, and also an IT man, who tried his hand at catering for the first time, Krešimir Macan.
The Matrix restaurant is part of the Matrix Office Park of the same name near the intersection of Slavonska Avenue with Heinzelova and Radnička Streets.
